We are a small home cattery in Waterford, Virginia, hand-raising healthy, gentle Himalayan and Persian kittens that come home confident, social, and ready to be part of your family.
No cages, no crates. Our kittens grow up underfoot with our family, so they arrive people-friendly rather than shy and frightened.
We are a feline leukemia negative colony, PKD negative, and work year round with Blue Ridge Vets in Purcellville, VA.
Himalayans and Persians are calm, affectionate companions, and ours are handled daily so they settle easily with children and other pets.
Call or email any time with a question about grooming, feeding, or settling in. We stay in touch for the life of your cat.
Raising kittens is not a side business for us. It is something our family has done carefully for over 31 years, and every decision starts with the same question: is this best for the cats and for the family who will love them?
Here is the standard we hold ourselves to with every litter.
Ask us anything →Our kittens are guaranteed free of genetic defects and are PKD negative, so there is nothing debilitating waiting down the road.
Our cats and kittens live in the house with us. That is the single biggest reason ours settle so quickly into a new home.
Kittens are held, brushed, and played with every day from the first week, and meet the ordinary noise of family life early.
Every kitten goes through a wellness checkup before it leaves, so you can see for yourself you are getting a healthy, well loved cat.
We would rather you visit, sit on the floor, and let a kitten choose you than pick one from a photograph.
If your circumstances ever change, come back to us first. No kitten of ours should end up in a shelter.
Availability changes with every litter, so please call or email and ask. Current photos and litter news go up on our Facebook page first.
Multiple-kitten discounts and cash referral bonuses are available. Contact us for current availability and pricing.
Teachers, firefighters, police, nurses and military all receive a discount on their kitten.
Most kittens are adopted between eight and ten weeks old, and every one leaves with its first set of shots.

Every kitten comes with a packet containing a clean, signed bill of health from our local vet office — free of genetic defects, fleas, parasites and ringworm.
Because of our long relationship with our vet we can also offer spay or neuter services, and the first rabies shot required by Virginia law, at steeply discounted rates. Ask us and we will walk you through it.
Call or email with a little about your household and what you are hoping for. There is no cost to start the conversation.
Pick a time that suits you and come meet the litter and their parents in our home in Waterford.
Take your time on the floor with them. We will talk honestly about which kitten suits your home, and reserve the one you fall for.
Your kitten goes home at eight to ten weeks with its first shots, its wellness check done, and its adoption packet in your hand. We stay a phone call away.
One of the area's only Himalayan and Persian breeders in Northern Virginia, just outside Leesburg.
I have been raising cats and kittens for over 31 years, specialising in Himalayan and Persian cats. I take great pride in the home and the nurturing I give them, and I believe raising kittens in my house rather than in a cage or a crate is what makes them so people-friendly: less shy, less frightened in a new home, and far more compatible with the pets already there.
All of our kittens are hand raised with lots of love and TLC. They grow up around people, kids and other animals, so they are ready to venture into your home from day one. They do very well as lap cats and with small children, and they are not shy or unfriendly. We raise them as part of our family, not just as pets.
I work with a well established clinic in Purcellville, VA — Blue Ridge Vets. Friendly Kittens is a feline leukemia negative colony, and our kittens are guaranteed free from genetic defects and PKD negative, so there is no need to worry about debilitating genetic problems.
Some of our kittens have even been adopted internationally — one flew to Venezuela on its first trip abroad. Ask me about the details if you are further afield.
My family and I love each kitten like a member of our family. You will not find a kitten more loved, more cared for, or better prepared to be adopted.
Please allow us to be your first choice for adopting a new Himalayan kitten today.
